Records are a bit easy to understand as the art is full size, have an element of history/nostalgia, the listening experience is more active/collaborative,analog is a richer medium(debatable)and the album art itself has many possibilities as invisible birds has shown. Considering that its quite expensive to release a vinyl version how do you feel about other formats such compact disc, cassette or even vhs(not really)? What would make you be inclined to purchase one such as a fold out poster, interesting linear notes/booklet,hand produced or pressed packaging, ect.I have some releases that i plan to put out and am brainstorming on what would be an attractive object to others. Limited editions seems like one way to entice listeners.I'm just so in love with art related to and informing on the music that i hate the idea of its loss in this new listening environment.
Any perspective would be much appreciated as i value the judgment contained in this site.
Thank you,G.J.Glorious Jailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15780686926919156784noreply@blogger.com
