i agree, both take your breath away.
there is a new monograph on him published that has a great photo of hopper and walken both sitting in front of the camera, check it out. wanted to find it on line for this post but was not able to. quite strange as the 2 of them certainly are.

Just watched "Born to Be Wild" over the Easy Rider footage on YouTube. Still love it.

Great post. One film sorely missing, however: Curtis Harrington's "Night Tide" (1961). An absolute must. Very, very highly recommended.
